Blog Description

A new rosary devotion to Mary's pondering heart,
derived from the Church's Liturgy of the Hours.
The Florilegium is a scriptural rosary like the Angelus,
with a verse of scripture for each Hail Mary.
There is a Mystery of the Lord for each day of the week,
and a Florilegium of verses for each liturgical season:
the Florilegium Joyful in Ordinary Time;
the Florilegium Sorrowful for Lent and Advent;
and the Florilegium Glorious for Easter, Christmas, & Feastdays.

St. Laurence Justinian Text

As Mary pondered all she had learned from what she read, what she heard, what she saw,
how greatly did she increase in faith, advance in merit, become enlightened with wisdom, and consumed with burning love!
Drawing life and inspiration from the heavenly mysteries that were being unlocked for her, she was filled with joy.
Imitate her, O faithful soul. Enter into the temple of your heart, that you may be purified in spirit.

and she conceived by the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, hail Full of grace, the Lord is with thee:

Rs. Blessed art thou among women,
and blesséd is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, holy Mother of God, pray for us sinnners,
now and at the hour of our death.
 Amen

Vs. Behold the handmaid of the Lord:
be it done unto to me according to his word.
Hail Mary, hail Full of grace, the Lord is with thee:

Rs. Blessed art thou among women ...
Holy Mary, holy Mother of God ....

Vs. And the Word became flesh,
and dwelt among us.
Hail Mary, hail Full of grace, the Lord is with thee:

Rs. Blessed art thou among women ...
Holy Mary, holy Mother of God ....

Vs. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit:

Rs. As it was in the beginning is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen

The leader recites the prayer.

Pour forth, we beseech you, O Lord, your grace into our hearts,
that we who have known the incarnation of Christ your Son
through the message of the angel,
may by his passion and cross be brought
to the glory of his resurrection.

Rs. Through the same Christ our Lord,
Amen.

Proceed with the decades antiphonally,
the leader leading with the verses only, and the others responding.
